Don't have X-Wing but always wanted to try it? Nuts about Star Wars and keen to re-enact some battles on the tabletop? We have plenty of ships and pilots from all factions for you to come down and try, just bring yourselves!
Otherwise! Dust off your fighters and polish up those manoeuvre dials - it's time to take the battle to the stars. We'll be playing with the current 2.5 edition rules with a standard 20 points.
What a super Sunday Social session we had yesterday! The Board Gaming tables were chock-full for much of the day, and the majority of attendees were playing solidly from noon until gone 8pm! That's dedication and camaraderie for you!!
Historical anime and manga series can be used to teach about different historical periods and events in a visual and engaging way. This can make history more interesting and relatable for students and can help them to better understand the past. For example, the anime series "Golden Kamuy" is set in the late 19th century and follows the story of a former soldier who searches for a buried treasure of gold and Ainu artefacts. The series provides a glimpse into the lives of the Ainu people, the indigenous people of Japan, and their culture.
Lots of happy board gamers laughing and enjoying each other's company is what we always love to see and hear... and that's precisely what we got at yet another delightful Thursday Social session last night!
And, as always, there was plenty of sharing of the teaching duties, allowing the less experienced of the group to be introduced to new games and to enjoy them with people they might not have played with before. This is what the Social is all about, and it's always a joy to experience it being embraced by all.
