We got started early for yesterday's Sunday Social, and the turnout was fantastic! Many thanks to everyone who came to spend some of their New Year's Eve playing games with us... and kudos to those who did the whole 10-hour session (and were still hankering for more)! Unfortunately, the session had to come to a close at 9pm, allowing folks to get out to parties or home to family and friends. But there was plenty of talk about the possibility of us all seeing in the New Year together at LeadBelt, so I think we'll probably look at planning a full-on New Year party at the end of 2024 (but don't quote me on that).
Lovely, vibrant gaming evening at the Arena yesterday - our Thursday Board Game Social crowd sharing space with wargamers, skirmishers and an RPG group - we love it when the place is buzzing with tabletop gamers of all kinds rubbing shoulders together and sharing their passions! Alongside the D&D group and people playing Mordheim, Ronin and Warhammer 40K, Legions Imperialis and Kill Team, the Board Game Social welcomed three brand-new visitors (great to see you Lotte, Dan and Paul, and look forward to more sessions to come) and enjoyed playing...
Thursday evenings are fast becoming one of our busiest and most vibrant, diverse and enjoyable gaming sessions of the week! Not only are we seeing more and more Board Gamers attending our dedicated weekly Social (so many last night that we burst at the seams and onto tables in the wargaming area), but Thursday is also very often the day of choice for one or two RPG groups, TCG'ers and skirmishers/wargamers... and we love it!
It was yet another multi-discipline mega-day at the Arena yesterday... the Sunday Board Game Social session was well-attended again... and the rest of the space was nicely packed with tabletop gamers playing all manner of adventures and battles... ...a seven-strong Dungeons & Dragons group... ...an enthralling mini-tournament of Warhammer 40K...

The Board Game Social crowd spent a chilly evening in the warm embrace of good company and great games last night! And the Arena was once again abuzz with players of other tabletop fare too... an RPG group in our private room, a couple of tables of WH40K, and our now-regular Thursday night MORDHEIM bunch battling it out together.
